VISIT AMERICANAFEST FACEBOOK FORUM *HOTELS BOOKING UP AND CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS UP 25% HONORS & AWARDS SHOW TICKETS CURRENTLY RESTRICTED TO AMERICANAFEST CONFERENCE REGISTRANTS ONLY     FOR YOUR GRAMMY CONSIDERATION: Wondering what categories to nominate your artists for the 2014 Grammy awards?  In addition to BEST AMERICANA ALBUM, this year, the Recording Academy added a new category, BEST AMERICAN ROOTS SONG.    Four years ago, the Recording Academy introduced a new category called Best Americana Album.  The very first Grammy winner was the great Levon Helm for his Electric Dirt Album.  This year, the Academy has added a new category to the American Roots Music Field; Best American Roots Music Song.     Best American Roots Song was the ONLY new category added to the Grammy slate for 2014.  A huge acknowledgement for our world and the work the American Roots Community have done to raise the profile of our beloved artists.   Please make a note of this and as you, Recording Academy members, consider your submissions this year.  From Americana to Blues, Bluegrass, Folk and Regional Roots, we are truly thrilled to see that the Recording Academy has recognized that songwriting is truly a foundational element of the American Roots Music Field. visit  WWW.GRAMMY.ORG for more information.
