The 2013 Ponderosa Stomp Festival is scheduled to take place October 3rd – 5th, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The concert takes place at Rock 'n' Bowl™ and includes many artists who no longer perform anywhere, including feral garage legends the Standells and Ty Wagner; Chris Clark, the first white soul singer on Motown, and early rockers like Eddie Daniels and producer/songwriter/singer Boogaloo. Baby Washington and Maxine Brown slayed audiences at the Ponderosa Stomp at Lincoln Center two years ago, earning slots on the official festival this year, while the 60's Sunset Strip is represented by The Sloths!

INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION (ISC), called "the songwriting competition to take note of," by the New York Times, is giving away more than $150,000 in cash and prizes, including a Grand Prize of $25,000 cash and over $40,000 in prizes. We are delighted that they include the Americana genre as one of its categories.  Judges for this year include: Tom Waits, Imagine Dragons, Nas, Martina McBride, Bernie Taupin (Elton John Lyricist), Florida Georgia Line, Garbage, Joshua Redman, Bruce Hornsby, Brian Setzer, Gerald Casale (Devo), Monte Lipman (President, Universal Republic Records), Dan McCarroll (President, Capitol/Virgin Label Group); and many, many more.  For more information on how to enter visit:  http://www.songwritingcompetition.com/
