Americana in The New York Times & Last chance to Nominate-Americana Honors & Awards

There was a cool Americana reference in The New York Times the other day and I wanted to share it.
 
"...the country (music) that Ms. Harris remembers… wasn't the direction mainstream country would eventually take, but it survives in the twangy, tenacious music now called Americana."
 
Thank you Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell for doing what you do.  And thank you, Jon Pareles of The New York Times, for spreading the news.

April 5th is the LAST DAY TO NOMINATE THE BEST OF THE BEST FOR THE 2013 AMERICANA HONORS & AWARDS.
 
ONLY MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING MAY PATICIPATE IN THE NOMINATION ROUND. 
 
If you are not currently a member, you must join no later than the end of day, tomorrow, Wednesday, April 3, for your nomination to be considered.  Click here to become a member NOW.  Upon receipt of your membership order, we will email you a nomination form swiftly so that you can still nominate before April 5.
 
These nominations will be reviewed as we look to honor the best of the best at the 2013 Americana Honors & Awards, slated to take place during our annual fundraising Americana Music Festival & Conference, September 18-22, 2013 in Nashville, TN.   The final slate of nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
 
At this time, only festival and conference registrants, and their guests, may attend the Awards show at the Ryman.  We are offering members a special $300 rate for the full Americanafest registration (includes admission to all day and night events and a ticket to our critically acclaimed Awards show).  This rate is good through April 30th.  Click here for more information.
