WHY ATTEND THE
AMERICANA MUSIC FESTIVAL AND CONFERENCE?

ARE YOU SERIOUS ABOUT THE BUSINESS OF MUSIC?

Social media, publicity, fan engagement, and building multiple revenue streams … artists today need to do it all. This year's Americana Music Festival & Conference features our best educational panels ever, with experts from top organizations to help you develop every aspect of your music career and maximize your potential as an artist. Don't miss these opportunities to learn from the best! Our daytime conference panel lineup is well worth the price of registration and includes:

  • Socialize – Everyone's on social media, but are you doing it right? Join our panel of highly social experts, including Matt Conn of Bandpage, Ashley Mixson of Girlilla Marketing and Rachel Barnhard of Borman Entertainment, to learn how to craft an integrated social media strategy that connects with fans, encourages them to share and drives revenue. (Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2-3 pm, Suite 4)

  • Publicize – You've made the music; now, how do you tell the world? Learn from veteran publicists how to leverage new media and traditional tools for maximum awareness. Experts Cary Baker (Conqueroo), Traci Thomas (Thirty Tigers), Matt Hanks (Shore Fire Media) and Jim Flammia (All Eyes Media) kick off the morning with a discussion on "Selling Roots" (Thursday, Sept. 13, 9:30-10 am, Suite 7), followed by publicist/manager Tamara Saviano, recording artist Rod Picott and Ellen Stanley of Red House Records, who will share publicity strategies for artists on a budget. (Thursday, Sept. 13, 11 am-noon, Suite 7)

  • Engage – Music isn't a speech; it's a dialogue. Turn your fan interactions into conversations with advice from Cameo Carlson (Borman Entertainment), Jason Colton (Redlight Management), Sloane Cavitt-Logue (Showdog Universal) and more on how to develop and execute a fan engagement campaign that brings results. (Thursday, Sept. 13, 11 am-noon, Suite 4)

  • Discover – How do fans discover new music? Increasingly, it's through online gatekeepers. This can't-miss session brings together representatives from YouTube, Pandora, Rhapsody, Soundcloud, Brite Revolution, CMT and No Depression to show you how to build a fanbase utilizing the most effective music discovery platforms, sites and apps. (Thursday, Sept. 13, 2-3 pm, Suite 4)

  • Interact Join Jeremy Holley (Warner Nashville), Jon Romero (Vector Management), Jeff Nicholas (Uprising Creative) and Brian Schopfel (Eyes & Ears Entertainment), experts on how to create an interactive campaign that gets results. You will walk away with concrete tools including a template, process and tips for building a base and marketing direct to sell high-margin products and bundles. (Friday, Sept. 14, 4-5 pm, Suite 4)
