NEW GRAMMY® AWARD ADDED TO AMERICAN ROOTS MUSIC FIELD:  We're thrilled to hear that the Recording Academy announced that the American Roots Music Field has expanded to include a new category and award: Best American Roots Song.  This category compliments the field that already includes: Best Americana Album, Best Bluegrass Album, Best Blues Album, Best Folk Album and Best Regional Roots Album.    Here is the press release.
 
CELEBRATE AMERICANA AT BONNAROO!!! We are pretty excited that one of our favorite events of the year is right around the corner, June 13-16.  Get ready (or just dig the lineup) with our new Americana Bonnaroo playlist on Spotify!
AMERICANA'S CROSS COUNTY LINES!  Alison Krauss and Jerry Douglas gathered friends Shawn Colvin, Amos Lee, Teddy Thompson, Angel Snow and Sarah Jarosz this past weekend (6/1) for "Cross County Lines," a preview concert for Americana Music Association's new one-day festival to be held in Franklin, TN during the Spring of 2014. The new festival will complement the Association's week-long festival and conference, now in its 14th year, held in the Fall (Sept. 18-22). Thanks to Holly Gleason, Marina Martinez and Sarah Skates who each posted their take on the evening.  
FIRST FESTIVAL SHOWCASE ARTISTS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY JUNE 10.  We are proud to announce on Monday, the first list of artists to perform for our annual fundraiser, The Americana Music Festival and Conference, Presented by Nissan, September 18-22 in Nashville, TN.   The event brings together thousands of fans and music business professionals from all over the world in Nashville, TN.  Over 100 acts performing by night and nearly 50 panels and workshops by day bring some of the industries brightest minds to gather in one of the nation's most comprehensive and diverse music conferences. With planning already underway, the 2013 Americana Music Festival & Conference promises to once again be a must-attend event for anyone with a passion for music.   Registrations are now available at Early Bird rates through the store at americanamusic.org.
