August 7, 2012, Nashville, TN: The list of showcase performers is growing for the 13th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, presented by Nissan, September 12 through September 15. In addition to previously announced participating artists Richard Thompson, Billy Joe Shaver, The Wallflowers and Delta Spirit, additional showcases are confirmed for what could be the most exciting Americana Music Festival yet. The festival brings more than 100 official performances throughout Music City. Last year more than 12,000 fans enjoyed the festival's musical events. Wristbands for all evening showcases at participating venues are only $50 and can be purchased now here, or at Grimey's New & Preloved Music and Fanny's House of Music starting Friday, August 10.
 
Live music will kick off at the 11th Annual Americana Honors and Awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 12 at the historic Ryman Auditorium. In addition to the showcases, the conference (also starting Wednesday) will offer daily seminars, panels and networking opportunities.  Americana Lifetime Achievement for Performance honoree Bonnie Raitt, interviewed by National Public Radio's Ann Powers, will deliver the artist keynote. In addition to showcasing iconic and innovative music, the Americana Music Festival & Conference provides a forum to advocate for the creative and economic vitality of the Americana music genre.  The conference hosts panels featuring industry innovators sharing knowledge on all facets of the evolving music business in an intimate setting.
 
Music industry professionals and those interested in the business of great music can still purchase Festival and Conference Registrations at the reduced rate of $350 for Americana Music Association members and $450 for non-members. Registrants receive entrance to all sanctioned daytime conference music, panels and parties, plus priority access to all evening showcase performances.  The registration also includes a ticket to the critically acclaimed, 11th annual Americana Honors & Awards Wednesday, September 12 at the Ryman Auditorium.
